How do I sign up?
You can sign up by contacting us using our Contact Form, or by emailing us at team@eyt.be, or by sending us a message on WhatsApp at +32 455 12 56 51. From there, one of our team will help you set up a taster lesson.
Does my child need acting experience to sign up?
No experience is needed! We welcome kids with all different levels of experience.
Does my child need to speak English as a first language to sign up?
No, although we don’t recommend taking the classes unless your child can at least hold a conversation in English. EYT is a great place to practice your English, but it is not a language school.
What if a class is oversubscribed?
Some of our locations are very popular, and classes fill up fast. When our classes become oversubscribed, we operate a waiting list. If a place is available in a different teaching centre, you will offered that place first. If other centres don’t work for you, we’ll add you to the waiting list for your preferred location.
IN CLASS
How many children are in each class?
Most of our classes have between 12 and 15 students. This can vary slightly, depending on the location. We don’t accept more than 17 students to a single class.
Do your teachers speak other languages in class?
Our classes are in full English immersion. However, most of our teachers speak French and Dutch, so if a child is clearly struggling with the language, they might give them a helping hand at first.
Do you teach musical theatre?
We do not teach musical theatre in our Youth Theatre course. We do however offer Musical Theatre LAMDA exams to those students who want to take them. If you’re looking for a fully musical theatre-oriented course, we recommend checking out Jet’s Academy or Panda All-Stars instead.
FINANCIAL
How much do classes cost?
For Juniors and Intermediates, classes cost €655 / year, with a €65 production levy (which pays for theatre hire, costumes, props etc… for the show). For Seniors, classes cost €740 / year, with an €80 production levy.
Can I pay in multiple instalments?
Yes, you can request to pay in multiple instalments upon receiving your bill.
Are there are any scholarships available?
Yes! We have half-scholarships and full scholarships available for those that need them. For parents who already have one child enrolled, we offer a 25% discount for each new sibling enrolled. To find out if you qualify for a scholarship, check out our Scholarships page.
What if I don’t qualify for a scholarship, but can’t afford the fees?
Get in touch with us: we believe that high quality youth theatre should be available to all children, not just those who can afford it. We will always try our best to find a solution for your child.
