INTERS' SHOW

A BIG SHOW IN A BIG THEATRE, FEATURING ALL OUR INTERS TOGETHER!

Intermediates' show

New class, new challenges! When they move up from the Juniors to the Intermediates, students take on a bigger challenge: performing on a big stage in front of a large audience!

In order to achieve this, we bring all our Intermediate students together in one big show. Each group takes on a section of a larger script (usually an anthology piece with lots of parts!). They work on their sections separately in class from February to June, and the whole project is overseen by a director who keep the project on track. Shortly before the show, all the groups are brought together to work on the linking pieces.

Finally, in May or June, the groups all perform the play twice over the course of a week-end.

The Canterbury Tales

by Geoffrey Chaucer
Adapted by Martin Riley

Geoffrey Chaucer is dead! In a dramatic attempt to bring him back to life, four medieval alchemists invite a group of Chaucer's best-known pilgrims - the Knight, the Wife of Bath, the Pardoner, the Nun's Priest, and the Miller - to tell their Canterbury Tales.

All 80-something of our Intermediate students (10-13 year olds) will perform together, each taking on a different story from the Canterbury Tales!
