Lockdown 2: Electric Boogaloo

So, there's good news and bad news... The bad news is that we have to stop teaching in person for older students. The good news is that we've got a plan, and the show will go on! The shows that our students have been working on since September will go ahead, but we will be reworking them to fit a new format. In the case of "Where The Wild Things Are", the play should continue in the same way. The intermediates' and seniors' plays will be recorded as radio plays with classes on zoom. They will then be made available to watch and/or listen to online. We think that during lockdown, students need more opportunities for creative outlet, not fewer.

Therefore, we will also add entirely new one-off and unique events on a weekly basis where possible, featuring professionals working in the business now. These will include subjects like contemporary West End musical theatre, stand-up comedy, podcasting and creative writing. We’re also looking at how to make additional online sessions for our younger students to have more theatre fun. So don't fret! EYT will continue, at the usual times, lockdown or not!
